Have you ever passed a field filled with endless stalks of golden wheat swaying in the breeze, and been inspired by it? The wheat seems to spring up so carefree and easy, yet we know how much endless toil is really behind such a beautiful field of grain.
How does the farmer, day in and day out, rain or shine, tend to his acres of crops without vacations or taking a break? I have always admired the farmer’s work ethics and tenacity. And today is the day in America when we actually pause to celebrate the achievements of the American worker, whatever each’s specific vocation may be.
